RIDING DIRTY is here.
(This is the abbreviated version- I'm about to miss my flight from LAX)
As you may have heard-- 15 of Atlanta's top restaurants have agreed to a challenge where they create their best pairings for under $25!
The restaurants have three rules-
1. The pairing must be under $25
2. Be a wine they pour by the glass
3. Food must be from their menu (small plates and appetizers encouraged)
3b. This could be something you can walk in and order at their bar.
In the next few days, restaurants will be emailing in their pairings and the judging team of "Rowdy, Dirty, and Smylie" will begin the work of scheduling our tasting treks, and working our way through the list.
Throughout the challenge we will post our thoughts, photos and write-ups here on Dirty South Wine. Along with the activity here, we'll be posting abbreviated notes on Twitter marking our messages with #dty. As the posts and pairings go up, we encourage readers to go out and taste them for themselves. Let us know your thoughts here and on Twitter.
This is a great and affordable opportunity for people to try food from our best restaurants, paired wonderfully with great wine.
Along with our notes, we'll be posting convenient MARTA routes, some suggested itineraries, and lots of other cool stuff.
