The Riding Dirty crew (Rowdy, Dirty, and Smylie) recently got together with Peter Wasserman, Paul & Françoise Couvreur, and Alva Johnson at Woodfire Grill in Atlanta. We were able to get goofy and taste through some fantastic grower Champagne and white Burgundy.
Selection Becky Wasserman, known best for an awesome Burgundy portfolio has partnered with the Couvreurs and their Champagne et Villages to bring their handpicked grower Champagnes into the market-- Wow, these are good! These are much different than the big house styles, and are great representations of the villages they are from. I want more.
We spent an amazing evening talking, tasting, and pairing the Champagne and the wines. We will be breaking up the evening into small segments, and will be running a series of videos that cover the night. This will be a fun, but informative series spanning Champagne, Burgundy, biodynamics, pairing, etc...
The Preview--
Stay tuned for more videos, great photography, and hopefully a lot of fun!
Huge thanks to the Woodfire Grill for allowing us to take over a room for the night, and to Peter, Françoise, Paul, and Alva for embracing our craziness!
