Last week, I announced that I would begin rating wines with a new rating system. Using a scale that starts at 101.00 and goes up to 102.36 in .17 increments-- 101, 101.17, 101.34, etc... On top of the scale, I'd be throwing in funk and feel descriptors like "Silent Ferret Whistle".
When I announced my intentions, Jeff Stai from Twisted Oak contacted me within minutes and wines were sent to be sampled / rated.
The first of those wines -- The Twisted Oak 2007 The Spaniard. Retailing for $49.
Everything you need to know is in the short video above.
Huge thanks to Jeff and Twisted Oak for being the inaugural wine in the Dirty South Wine rating scale!!

Notes: The first 5 Producers or Importers to use their Dirty South Wine rating in print or online receive a custom T-Shirt. The first 5 retailers (online or non) to use a Dirty South Wine rating as a shelf talker, receive a custom T-Shirt.
The wine in this review was sent as a media sample by Twisted Oak.
