It was just a matter of time for Rowdy and I to start making wine... Two kindred spirits, born on the same day, now have a ton of gourgeous Mourvèdre from the Santa Barbara Highlands vineyard.
To say we are going at this alone would be a stretch- We have the watchful and sage-like Kevin Kelley to tell us that pork rinds and biscuits don't belong in the juice, the graceful Angela Osborne to tell us that our wine needs more Om, and the loving crew of Louisa, Marissa, and Arnd to run the opposite direction when I ask "would you pass me a...?"
I should write so much more about all this- What it means, how excited I am, etc., but we have fruit still coming into the winery and I could use a cup of coffee, a nap, and a cold beer (in any order)...
